Great opportunity for a Manufacturing Leader

Manages all activities related to operations and production of company products including manufacturing, scheduling, shipping, material salvage, etc. and works jointly with quality assurance to ensure compliance with customer specification. Within the manufacturing group, is responsible for the administration of policies and practices of the company including employee relations, plant safety, efficient labor utilization and related activities. Position Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for promoting safety awareness and keeping safety as a number one priority on a daily basis.
  • Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image.
  • Maximizing process efficiencies by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
  • Establishes production standards in conjunction with quality control, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
  • Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
  • Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
  • Determines responsibilities of assigned supervisory positions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, regulations, and safety compliance (training, initiatives, results).
  • Directs process engineering to maximize efficiencies, improve reliability, etc.
  • Determines priorities with the Plant Manager and implements projects and maintains detailed documentation as required.
  • Assists in managing and coordinating major capital expenditures, plant modifications, and machine/equipment layout.
  • Ensures satisfactory operation of new processes.
  • Recommends incorporation of new technology for company applications where feasible and practical.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 8 plus years of experience in manufacturing production operations.
  • Team management style.
  • Advocates team concept and possesses strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning skills.
  • Sound administrative skills with previous management/supervisory experience including prior exposure in labor relations.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (computer, verbal, written and presentation).
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Results oriented with the ability to balance multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Knowledge of safety compliance, standards, regulations, and practices.
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed, results oriented and possess good working habits.
  • Project Management experience required.
